BenchScope is made by Niels Heisterkamp Software Development B.V., Netherlands.
The short version
BenchScope collects nothing. There are no accounts, no analytics, no advertising and no tracking. Your camera image never leaves your iPhone.
What the app uses
Camera. BenchScope shows a live, magnified view. Frames are processed on your iPhone and are not stored unless you take a photo or record a video, and are never sent anywhere.
Photos. Photos and recordings you choose to save go to your own photo library. The app asks only for permission to add to it; it cannot read your library.
Settings and usage time. Your settings and presets are stored on your iPhone. The time you have used the free daily minutes is stored on your iPhone (in the keychain) so the limit survives reinstalling the app. None of this leaves the device.
Purchases. The one-time purchase is handled by Apple. Apple tells the app only whether the purchase exists. BenchScope never sees your name, email address or payment details.
What the app does not do
- No accounts, no login.
- No analytics, crash reporting or advertising SDKs.
- No tracking across apps or websites, and no data shared with third parties.
Children
BenchScope is a tool for electronics work and does not collect data from anyone, including children.
Your rights
Because no personal data is collected or stored outside your device, there is nothing for us to access, correct or delete. Deleting the app removes its settings; the free-usage record stays in your keychain and is removed when you erase your device or delete the keychain item.
Changes
Any change to this policy appears on this page with a new date.
